About the Setup
For this home office, good things come in threes: three displays on the computer, three televisions above and three laptops/netbooks. A setup like this often leaves me wondering about how the electrical bill is each month.

About the Setup
Landscape oriented computer monitors have been the norm for years, and for most users it’s the easiest and most familiar configuration to work with. However, a portrait oriented monitor may make much more sense and be far more efficient with screen space in some situations: editing word documents, browsing the web, etc.

In this setup their are two portrait monitors for that very purpose. The additional landscape monitor is used primarily for watching blu-ray video in full screen. The extra 20 inch monitor is hooked up with a Monoprice USB adapter and the third landscape monitor is attached the the video card’s second video output.

For different people, comfort and productivity can depend on different factors, be it screen real estate, workspace environment, computer specs, etc. In this setup, one important variable seems to be environment, decor (modern), and minimalism.

About the Setup
There’s a lot that stands out about this setup, including custom built speakers, a dual monitor computer setup, a Yamaha piano, and intricate and detailed model ships. This home office also serves as a bedroom and recreational area. Almost all of the furniture you see here is home made. Even the chair is recycled from an old mini cooper.

On the left you can see a Yamaha piano and Yaesu and Uniden receivers for listening to radio. On top of the desk sits an iMac with an additional Formac monitor, Logitech MX 518 mouse, and Wacom pen tablet. To the right of that is a 32″ Samsung LDC TV with a pair of home made speakers on either side. Beneath the TV you will find a Yamaha AV amp, Bluray player, Xbox 360 and Sony PS3.

About the Setup
For a small workspace, this desk is packing a lot in. The displays (center, right, and back) are Japanese EIZO Flexscan HD2452W, 2231, and S1721 respectively. Two of the speakers are Onkyo GX-100HD and the other four that are visible are Edirol. The keyboard is an Apple Aluminum Keyboard and the mouse is a Kensington Expert Mouse. Also on the desk is a Wacom Bamboo Tablet.

This Mac setup runs off a 15″ MacBook Pro with a 23″ Apple Cinema Display. The speakers are Harman Kardon SoundSticks. Also seen on the desk is a Wacom pen tablet and an iPhone.

About the Setup

The three monitors are Apple 23″ Cinema Displays. Sitting in the middle of the three monitors is a Wacom Intuos 3 pen tablet. Also on the desk are an iPhone and a Blackberry Bold. Three external Maxtor backup HDD’s on a shelf under the desk.

The computer system itself is a Mac Pro workstation with 3TB of storage, 8GB RAM and 2x ATI Radeon 2600XT video cards.

There’s not much to say about this setup that can’t be seen. Featuring two Dell monitors, a Wacom tablet and a Macbook Pro, this configuration is ideal for anyone that does web design and graphics art. The vertical monitor on the right is ideal for working with webpages and other vertical documents.
