About the Mod If you’re a fan of Matt Groening’s “Futurama”, then you’ll appreciate today’s featured case mod. It’s a full working model of none other than everyone’s favorite beer-guzzling, foul-mouthed robot… Bender. Inside you won’t find Lucy Liu’s head, a human heart, or a variety of weapons. You will find that he’s got some home computer hardware that has been cleverly integrated with his design. Starting at the top, his antenna is actually a function Wi-Fi antenna, his mouth is a slot-loading DVD/CD burner, and his eyes are 10 watt light-bulbs. In his chest cavity is where the VIA EPIA-M 10000 Mini-ITX motherboard sits, along with 1.1 TB storage.
The team took over four months to built our shiny friend, but managed to do so with less than $400 in materials.
