About the Setup
The Gateway XHD3000 isn’t your average monitor. In fact, to some it isn’t even a monitor. This 30″ behemoth boasts the worlds first quad-HD display, where each quarter of the screen can support a separate 720p HD video block. At the same time, this monitor plays the part of an HDTV with a range of inputs that includes HDMI, DVI-D, VGA, Component, S-Video, and Composite. and a total resolution of 2560×1600 with a built in up-converter to 1600p.
Also seen in the image is a Gateway Gt5678 at 2.4 GHz with 4GB RAM and 750GB of storage. To the right side is an XBOX 360. The mouse is a Logitech V450 Nano
. The speakers are Bose Companion 5 multimedia speaker system
.

I have an XHD3000. That monitor consistently dies after a little more than a year. Look at its reviews. All the old reviews are glowing because it seems like a killer monitor, but all the recent ones are from owners who shelled out tons of money for this thing only to have it fail. Gateway will only tell you to take it to a local technician or to call their fee-based support who will tell you the same thing. There is a clear pattern of failure with the XHD3000. It is junk and Gateway are thieves.
