About the Setup
This home office setup is straight up jaw-dropping. All four top monitors are HP LP2475w S-IPS panels mounted on Ergotron arms. The two bottom monitors are Eizo Flexscan S2431W-E’s and all monitors are 1920×1200.

The office consists of 11 workstations and servers and 3 laptops with total storage reaching a whopping 38 TB. Full specs for all workstations can be seen here. The crown jewel is a system called Argon, which hosts a Dual Xeon 5080 boasting 32 GB RAM, 12 TB storage (RAID 6), nVidia 8600GT Silent and much more.

A complete description and a lot more information regarding this setup is available at the owners website.

Stefan Didak notes that the Argon system alone probably costs about $25k

What happens if you turn all that equipment on?

The light in the neighborhood dims a little, starts to flicker,

then the lights in part of the city go out, and once everything

is up and running, the lights slowly come back on again. Some of

the systems are always on and are never powered off.

How much is your electricity bill?

Somewhere in between “ouch” and “cringe”.

    I love this guy!
